Eggs & chickensTerry Golson, author of The Farmstead Egg Cookbook, shared her expertise about eggs and chickens. Copies of her cookbook were available through Belmont Center’s Charlesbank Bookstore for sale and signing. Italian bread saladChefs from Stone Hearth Pizza served samples of panzanella, a traditional Italian bread salad. See the recipe in our August newsletter. Thai foodChefs from Belmont's Patou restaurant served samples of Thai cuisine made from fresh Massachusetts-grown herbs and vegetables. Ice creamRancatore’s award-winning Belmont-made ice cream was available for sale in several yummy flavors. Tomato tastingKimball Fruit Farm offered samples of their heirloom tomatoes. Kimball's tomatoes have been top prize-winners in the Commonwealth's Annual Tomato contest. |
