Shopper survey from 2007

We asked over 250 shoppers about the Market in July 2007. Here's a summary (see the full results in an Excel file):

• Parking97% said that parking was not a problem.
• TransportationMost drive, but 19% walk, bike or take the T.
• Value of the MarketOf 264 respondents, 263 said that the Market improves the value of Belmont Center.
• Location97% like the current location.
• Shopping in the CenterOf 273 responses to this question, 145 (53%) patronized another business in the Center while at the Market. We don't know about the 128 others, but it's great that the Market drew them to the Center and we hope that they visit other businesses during the next Market season.

A shopper said "I love having the Farmer's Market in Belmont Center. It adds a sense of community and diversity to the Center, which has a lot of impersonal banks and needs a venue where members of the community can get together and share information and ideas.

I go to every vendor and try to buy from different vendors each week. I've lived in Belmont 15+ years and I have to say that the Belmont Farmer's Market is the best service provided to me over the years."
