Market news: The Market is now CLOSED for the 2011 season. There are a number of one-time or all-winter markets in the area.
Roots & Sprouts: The late winter 2012 issue of our newsletter (pdf) is out: edible landscaping, our shopper survey, upcoming events, farming in Belmont and a recipe for Spicy Lamb Shoulder Chops.
The Pomona Project: Edible landscaping plants are back. Order at a great price through the Belmont Food Cooperative (our parent group). Read about the project, and download the information and order forms. There are varieties of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, figs and more.
Upcoming events: Three events in March. Backyard Chicken Keeping in Belmont and a Community Seed Swap. Both are free and sponsored by our parent organization, the Belmont Food Collaborative. Sustainable Belmont presents Establishing Sustainable Local Food Systems Through the Power of Partnership about local foods in the schools.
