Special events
Every day at Belmont Farmers’ Market is special, but we have some extra-special events all season long.
The last market of each month is a POP Club Activity Day. We have fun (and educational) activities for kids — they’ll learn all sorts of things about our local food system through the season. It also includes the Move It! Hour, where participation in a short physical activity earns them an extra POP Buck.
June 5 Opening Day, featuring our 4th Food Assistance Information Fair. Statewide and local organizations are on hand to provide information about food assistance benefits; and let the community know that food insecurity exists everywhere, including Belmont.
June 12 Sustainability Day. We’ll have electronics recycling and loads of information about making your world more sustainable.
June 26 POP Club Activity Day
July 31 POP Club Activity Day
August 8 National Farmers’ Market Week. Lots of information about the market, farms, our vendors, and a celebration of our 20th season.
August 28 POP Club Activity Day
September 4 Public Safety Day. Meet members of Belmont’s police and fire departments, and explore some of their equipment.
September 25 POP Club Activity Day
October 2 Sponsors Day. We couldn’t run the market without our sponsors. Come to the market and meet some of them.
October 23 Local History Day. Learn about Belmont’s history, and talk with members of the Belmont Historical Society.
October 30 POP Club Activity Day, last day of the season
