Belmont Farmers’ Market

Supporting local farms & producers in a great community environment

June 6, 2019 is opening day

Thursdays 2:00–6:30 (til 6 after Labor Day) • Town Center parking lot, Belmont, Mass.

It’s a fun & welcoming community event, every week. Great local produce, baked goods, dairy, meat & fish, prepared foods … sure, farmers’ markets have all that. But the Belmont Farmers' Market is more.

Come for great community event, with Storytime, performances for kids and grownups, chats with friends and neighbors, community information, and all that great food, rain or shine! See this week’s vendors.

We match government benefits to help all families take home great, local food: SNAP (Food Stamps), WIC (for moms & babies) and FMNP (for seniors). Most of our produce vendors accept HIP.

Many of the shops in the Center partner with us. Some restaurants buy ingredients from our vendors, while others offer tastings or display their wares at the market.

And the food!

“Good bread, excellent heirloom tomatoes, and magical lettuce that never goes bad.

My latest discovery is rainbow chard. I was intimidated by chard (it looks like something only very adventurous vegans would eat) - but I asked one of the women at the stand what to do with it. She instructed me to sautee it like spinach with garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. I added in a vidalia onion and some tilapia - and I have never been happier!”
