Every day at Belmont Farmers’ Market is special, but we have some extra-special events all season long. Put all of these dates in your calendar and sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss anything!

Monthly POP Club Activity Days‍ ‍The last market of each month is a POP Club Activity Day. We have fun (and educational) activities for kids to learn about our local food system through the season.

Kids love the Move It! Hour with Eight Animal Martial Arts, where participation in a short physical activity shows the benefits of being active, and earns an extra POP Buck.

June 4 Opening Day, featuring our 5th annual Food Assistance Information Fair. Statewide and local organizations are on hand to provide information about food assistance benefits, and let the community know that food insecurity exists everywhere, including Belmont.

June 11‍ ‍Sustainability Day. Curious about composting? Questions about recycling? Not sure what to do with old electronics & cords?

It’s your lucky day! Stop by to learn about sustainability with local organizations, including a free electronic waste recycling event. We’ll have special guests with loads of information.

The Market is open from 2-6:30. Information tables are open all afternoon, but electronics recycling is available from 3:30-6:30 (please do not bring items earlier). June 18‍ ‍Art at the Market. This popular program is back! National Art Honor Society students from BHS will host an art table for Market attendees, and offer fun caricature drawings. Donations go toward supporting the arts in Belmont, including the mural that students have been creating at the Sancta Maria's Nursing Facility.

July 23‍ ‍WIC FMNP coupon distribution. Cambridge Health Alliance comes to BFM to give Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons to WIC families. This is part of our food assistance program.

August 6‍ ‍National Farmers’ Market Week. Lots of information about the market, farms, the food system our vendors, and a celebration of our 21st season. It’s fun for kids and adults alike.

September 3‍ ‍Public Safety Day. Meet members of Belmont’s police and fire departments, and explore some of their equipment. It’s our most popular day of the year!

September 10‍ ‍BHS student fundraising. Support Belmont High student groups as they raise money for nonprofit organizations.

October 1‍ ‍Mini Market Makers Day, 3:30–5:30. Our entrepreneur day for kids. See the products they’re selling, find out how they developed them … and ask about their business plans!

October 8Sponsors Day. We couldn’t run the market without our sponsors. Come to the market and meet some of them.

October 22 Local History Day. Learn about Belmont’s history, and talk with members of the Belmont Historical Society.
