Special events

Every day at Belmont Farmers’ Market is special, but we have some extra-special events all season long.

The last market of each month is a POP Club Activity Day. We have fun (and educational) activities for kids — they’ll learn all sorts of things about our local food system through the season. It also includes the Move It! Hour, where participation in a short physical activity earns them an extra POP Buck.

June 5 Opening Day, featuring our 4th Food Assistance Information Fair. Statewide and local organizations are on hand to provide information about food assistance benefits; and let the community know that food insecurity exists everywhere, including Belmont.

June 12 Sustainability Day. Curious about composting? Questions about recycling? Not sure what to do with old electronics/cords? It’s your lucky day! We’re dedicating our community tents to climate and sustainability.

Stop by to learn about sustainability with local organizations, including a free Electronic Waste Recycling Pop-Up, Belmont’s Recycling Coordinator Joseph Sten, Belmont High School groups, Belmont Energy Committee, and more.

The Market is open from 2-6:30. Information tables are open all afternoon, but electronics recycling is available from 3:30-6:30 (please do not bring items earlier). See our website, social media, and newsletter that week for details about what's accepted. Or call Techcycle Solutions at 860.336.1042.
